Nearly two years after setting everything aside, I came across an unused canvas while moving some boxes in the garage. My palette and box with paints and brushes were nearby so I quickly tubed out and covered it with titanium white. The palette had a few random colored globs of mostly dried paint on it, but with a squeeze, each produced a bit of color. In just a few minutes I rendered this image of Jane and I. I knew someday soon we would make that escape. This last touch of the brush was my declaration to myself that this time I really was, beyond a doubt, in love.
