Oil on Canvas 24 x 20 1987 Morristown,NJ
“I was preparing a series of large linen canvases but before starting them I wanted to experiment with a tighter density of ascending colors. I used a small canvas and restricted the palette to ultramarine and some earth tones. All the boundaries were run by hand, something I hadn’t done in some time. In the end it was a technical rendering (math) yet very much with a “Hand Made” look and feel, which pleased me. I did not however, use much of the technique on the linens, it simply didn’t fit.”
